Corbenic Camphill Community  - Our Aims and Objectives

Vision Ethos

Social Organisation

Meetings The Wider World

Ecology

We strive to work ecologically, which is reflected in our homes and in the care for the environment and the land.

Ethics

We also choose to work and live in an ethical  way regarding the quality of the food we eat, the consequences of the money we spend, our respect for nature and the effort we put into recycling. We are aiming to work the land out of Bio-Dynamic principals (which is an organic methodology).

Religious / Spiritual Beliefs

We provide a form through which people can express their religious/spiritual believes. We celebrate the Christian festivals as a part of the rhythm of the year.

Environment

We strive to create an environment where the individual feels able to develop: Through listening, respect, awareness of prejudices, creativity and freedom.

The Individual

Each person should be willing to adopt an awareness of self-development, to be individually responsible for their own personal growth and development, to the best of their abilities.

Quality

We are committed to working with Ways to Quality (a quality assurance scheme), in which self determination and assessment of what we create is important.

Training

We actively encourage life long training, personal and professional development.

Work

We encourage meaningful work for all.

Culture & Art

Cultural activities are an important part of community life, they are a link between physical and spiritual life. Also human emotions are lifted to a higher level through artistic pursuits.
