In the
twice-daily
craft workshops,
6 to 8 residents work closely with
co-workers and the workshop leader. We also create backdrops for plays and decorations for festivals... |
Activities
include weaving, felting, papiér mâché, mosaic, silk painting and willow
work. |
|
|
|
Working with different textures, smells and colours add to the therapeutic qualities of the craft activity practised.
|
Residents and co-workers have the opportunity to explore different materials and learn specific craft techniques and skills. This can be not only therapeutic but also a positive and motivating experience. Through craft activity fine and gross motor skills may be enhanced and hand eye co-ordination strengthened.
