Thank you contributing

 and humour too.

Corbenic hosts people from many nationalities and cultures.

The International Meal is part of our Whitsun celebrations, the festival where the singularity of each individual is deemed to be sacred, but where we are also all part of human kind and in that sense are one.

International Meal, May 2010

Remember the bible story of the flames hovering over the heads of the disciples?

Though we speak different languages, the meal symbolises humanity coming together, learning more about each other, our culinary roots, origins, thereby giving us a better understanding of each other.

So, a vast array of delicious dishes from all over the world were prepared, cooked,  enjoyed, savoured.

We had great musical and dramatic performances from all the different nationality groups in the community.

A brilliant evening. Thanks to everyone.

Burns Night, Corbenic Jan 25, 2010

Then let us pray that come it may,
(As come it will for a' that,)

That Sense and Worth, o'er a' the earth,

Shall
bear the gree, an' a' that.

For a' that,

an' a' that,
It's coming yet for a' that,

That Man to Man, the world o'er,

Shall brothers be for
a' that.

 Robert Burns
