Events at Corbenic Camphill Community

Our 2010 International Meal, May 24th

Corbenic hosts many nationalities and cultures.

The International Meal is part of our Whitsun celebrations, the festival where the singularity of each individual is deemed to be sacred, but where we are also all part of human kind and in that sense are one.

Remember the bible story of the flames hovering over the heads of the disciples?

Though we speak different languages, the meal symbolises humanity coming together, learning more about each other, our culinary roots, origins, thereby giving us a better understanding of each other.
So, a vast array of delicious dishes from all over the world were prepared, cooked,  enjoyed, savoured.

We had great musical and dramatic performances from all the different nationality groups in the community.

A brilliant evening. Thanks to everyone.

A Grateful Thanks to all!

There was a luncheon followed by a cheque presentation at the Ailean Chraggan Hotel, Weem, Perthshire on 4th February 2010.
