The Corbenic Garden, high summer 2008

Tuesday, July 15th was one of the few gloriously sunny days we had this year...
Zoom in even closer where you see wee 'pointing finger' icon

Despite the inclement weather, the garden produced a bumper crop of fruit and vegetables...

Follow the seasons and chart the changing moods and colours in Corbenic's much-loved garden.

Residents work in the gardens.

At this time of year, we pick and  harvest our fruit and vegetables.

And deliver them straight from
the earth to
 our five Corbenic households

In the course
 of a year
residents
may learn
new skills

Weeding, an
essential and skilled
maintenance
task during the growing season

Sometimes,
the simple
beauty of a
flower in bloom
makes you stop and
marvel ..

The garden
is
a therapeutic
natural
environment
as well as a
place of
work..

And can also be a welcome place of peace and healing for residents, community members, visitors

"The greatest gift of the garden is the restoration of the five senses." - Hanna Rion
