Although not quite as bad
as the previous winter,
our garden was blanketed
in deep snow from the end
of November
to the beginning of March...
 



Our compost heap supports wildlife
 

So, a lot of preparatory work
 is being done in the garden
clearing dead wood, pruning, and generally repairing some of the ravages of winter
 
   
   


Even at the end of March, patches of snow,  are still in evidence

Seeds are being germinated prior to planting out
 

French Beans
Broccoli
Broadbeans
Lettuces
Strawberries
Blackcurrants
Redcurrants
Gooseberries
Spinach
