Horse Riding as Therapy at Corbenic Camphill Community

Daily Life Events Workshops History of Corbenic Camphill Movement

'For the residents of Corbenic, horse riding is therapeutic; it benefits the rider's balance and co-ordination, it strengthens core muscles, and it helps with communication.

It also helps with confidence and self-esteem and is great fun!

The new arena will enable riders to improve their skills in safety...

And for some, to come off the leading rein at last..'

Annie Pollock, Equestrian Trainer

At Corbenic, horse-riding is very popular with residents and staff alike.

As well as riding in the grounds of Corbenic, we visit horse trials and demonstration put on by various Scottish Equine Societies.

We hope to become a member of the 'Riding for the Disabled Association'.

This would mean that we could take part in competitions and training sessions run by them.
