The Estate Workshop was housed for many years in the Auld Hut. But really, the building was much too small for its intended use and the activities of the Workshop have by now outgrown this facility |
![]() Hello, new workshop |
|
The space for storage of tools
and all sorts of other equipment has slowly been spreading into various
locations and, more importantly, has been too small a space in which the
residents could engage in meaningful activities. |
|
|
|
The main body
of the new workshop is light and airy, with plenty of space for work
benches and more than enough for new activities such as pottery-making and working
with willow which we grow on site.

A separate area has been designed for all the machinery, with its own service bench and more storage space for bigger tools |

There is a long
canopy along the front of the building which will allow Residents to work
outdoors in all types of weather. |
||
|
This area
overlooks the Village Green, and can also be used for
other activities we may organise for the Community in the future.
