Corbenic Camphill Community, Our Social Organisation

It is of great importance that everyone in Corbenic is empowered to participate in the decisions concerning either the daily life in the community or the future direction of the community.

To help the communication within the community the following structures are in place:

The Manager: Within the Community, the Manager has overall responsibility and is directly responsible to the Council of Management.

The Finance Manager is responsible for the financial side of the community and is responsible to the Manager and the Council of Management.

The Council of Management is legally responsible for Corbenic.

It meets every two months and the manager and finance manager attend these meetings, other members of the community are invited on an individual basis.

House Co-ordinators (formerly house parents) There are two in each household and they carry the responsibility for the well-being of all people in their household.

Workshop Leaders are responsible for providing a meaningful and safe working environment for all involved. All the above people form the Responsibility Group.

The Responsibility Group has delegated certain tasks to the following sub groups:

Health and Safety
Human Resources
Well-Being
Finance
Maintenance

These groups have their specific remits and they report back to the responsibility group on a regular basis.
