Today we took a minibus to The Scottish Neigbourhood Meeting at Murtle Estate near Aberdeen. The meetings provide an opportunity for sharing news, ideas and experiences between residential care communities. The theme for this meeting was Meaningful Processes.
Our presentation showed a chair made in our Woodwork Shop, explaining how it was created. The wood came from diseased ash trees identified by the Estate Workshop.
Other presentations included Garvald, where solar panels provide power for their bakery; and from Blair Drummond, how a Friday round-up meeting summarises the week. We also heard from Harom Galam, a new community in Romania, about how they will be raising funds for a new daya centre by participating in the Kilt Walk on 7th June.

After a wonderful lunch we went outside to make a large Mandala together.
