Befriending Volunteer

About role

Become a befriender and build a special friendship with one of our residents. Many residents have benefited from having a trusted friend who supports them in their hobbies and social activities. This role is ideal for those who enjoy listening, chatting, and spending quality time with someone who values companionship.

Requirements:

  • Protecting Vulnerable People (PVG) check
  • Compassionate, friendly, and open-minded
  • Willingness to commit to regular visits
  • No prior experience needed—just a caring attitude!

  • ‘Play badminton, watch movies, and go for coffee outings.’
  • ‘Enjoy concerts and visit local animal sanctuaries.’
  • ‘Talk about football, go to the golf range, or just have phone chats.’
