An imperfection that adds character?

There is a rumoured tradition that quilt makers would introduce an imperfection to their work out of piety. The reasoning being that only the divine is perfect, and to seek perfection was vanity. The veracity of this tradition is debated but having an imperfection can add character. There is at least one such imperfection on the Corbenic Poetry Path…

The imperfection is not obvious. But, if you are not distracted by the poems, the sculptures or the natural history, you may spot one plank of the new boardwalk that is ever so slightly offset. To add charm, a sad emoticon has been drawn on it.

Once spotted, such a feature is hard to ignore. Perhaps there are some people who would wish to see it “fixed”? However, there are others who may come to treat this feature as part of the very fabric of the path. What do you think?
