First Harvest Meal in new Community Barn

Today we celebrated together at our Corbenic Harvest Meal.

Ingredients from the Farm, Garden and Orchard are lovingly prepared. It was wonderful to have all residents, Day Service, volunteers and staff sit down as one Community.

With the hard work of growing, harvesting and preparing done, it was time to sit together for our Harvest Meal. This year is our first year eating in the new Community Barn.

The starter course was a wonderful salad, made with tomatoes from the Garden and a fabulous dressing from Day Service. The main course was rib-sticking leek and potato soup, again with harvested vegetables. One bowl was filling enough for most. To finish, cream and crumble made from apples from the orchard.

Thank-you to everyone who helped, at every stage of the today’s event. Thank-you also to everyone who helped fund our new Community Barn – being together as one is thanks to you all.
