Edinburgh to Corbenic on a single-speed bicycle
Congratulations, Gavin!
He did it! Well done a huge thank you to Gavin Kirk – he smashed his target and raised over a thousand pounds for Corbenic riding his 1974 single speed bicycle from Edinburgh to Corbenic.
The hills were many, and getting up them without any gears was an added level of difficulty, but he persevered and completed the one hundred kilometer route in 8 hours.
The ride finished at the new Corbenic Community Barn, which was designed by Gavin and his colleague Judy Jarvie of Taller Smaller Architects.
