A Greener Corbenic Uses Solar Energy

In November 2025, contractors started a project to install solar panels across the buildings on site. This work is now coming to completion, at which point 279 solar panels will have been installed.

The photo-voltaic panels will generate electricity throughout daylight hours. They do not need direct sunlight, although the brighter and sunnier it is, the more electricity will be generated. The panels will generate over 114,000 Kwh annually, representing about 47% of our annual electricity consumption. This equates to over £30,000 of annual savings at current prices.

This project helps makes Corbenic more sustainable, reducing the financial impact of fluctuating energy prices for years to come.
