A new development has arrived at The Corbenic Shop: The Neuk, a welcoming new space inspired by the Corbenic Poetry Path

The Neuk is the shop’s wee side room, now specially themed to connect with the Corbenic Poetry Path. It offers visitors a unique place to pause, discover more about Corbenic’s work, and learn about the poets featured along the path. It is an ideal stop for those who have visited the Poetry Path, and a rewarding visit in its own right.

The Neuk will also be used to record poets reading their work. We have already welcomed the current Scottish Makar, Peter Mackay, who recorded poems in Gaelic and English and was interviewed by Gaelic speaker, filmmaker and BBC outdoor broadcaster Callum Maclean. We look forward to sharing these short films soon through the shop and Poetry Path digital platforms.

There is much more to come, with visits from influencers, further poetry readings, and contributions from some of Corbenic’s own resident poets.”
