Family Day 2026

Today we welcomed the families of our residents and Day Service attendees to Family Day.

Family Day is Corbenic’s annual event when we thank families for all their support. We welcomed back familiar faces, along with many coming along for the first time.

Thank-you to everyone who came along. A special thank-you to all those involved in preparation and running on the day.

The day started with a welcome by Betty. Our director, Jon, then spoke about our values and how they have instructed the recent developments in Corbenic. Carolyn, Chair of the Board, then gave a heartfelt thanks to everyone.

Our German volunteers then entertained with a dance inspired from their school prom celebrations.

The highlight of the talks was residents and day service participants speaking about what Corbenic means for them.

Standing between everyone and lunch, our Hillwalking Coordinator, James, explained about the three walking groups and what each group does.

After lunch, a ceilidh was provided by our regular duo, Jamie and Stephen (known as Farragon). Their set included all the favourites. They closed with Auld Lang Syne.

The celebrations finished with strawberries and ice-cream, much to the delight of our visiting German students, who had helped with preparations.
