Ascent of Carn Aosda

Our Thursday Adventurers climbed Carn Aosda at Glenshee Ski Centre today.

For one participant, it was his first Munro ascent. Congratulations!

With a dry and windy forecast, the Thursday Adventurers headed north east to Glenshee Ski Centre for a challenging but short walk.

Straight from the minibus, our adventurers battled wind and a very steep track. The aim was to have lunch atop a Munro called Carn Aosda.

With summit being buffeted by strong gusts, the adventurers ate their sandwiches on the lee side. The group shelters provided some shelter however our newest participant was still be convinced that getting into a big orange flappy thing was a good idea.

After lunch, the adventures crawled across the summit before taking a more leisurely, gentler descent route.

Well done everyone!
