Harvest time at Corbenic
A good year for growing
At Corbenic, we welcome every season. Autumn is harvest time. It is an opportunity for everyone to help harvest in the Garden and on the Farm. A summer of sunshine and occasional rain ensured lots of crops flourished.
Today it was all hands to the pumpkins (and other produce). Helping with the harvest is a highlight of the year for many.
In the Garden, there were leeks, tomatoes, beetroots, pumpkins, marrows, peppers, beans and sweetcorn.
On the Farm, the tatty harvest is always fun as potato treasure is unearthed.
Around Corbenic, hazelnuts and rosehips were ready for picking.
Well done to all our harvesters, and thank-you Farmer Tanja and Gardener Laura!
