Keeping Corbenic running smoothly occasionally requires assistance from outside contractors. With such a snowy January and wet February, the surface water drainage was put to its limit. With a bit of help from “Digger Dave” and his digger, the old drainage ditches were cleared and relined with permeable pipes and gravel. Corbenic is now prepared for future deluges.

As is often the case in Perthshire, maintenance uncovers how previous generations managed drainage. A large grate was unearthed that may have been installed when Drumour Lodge was first built.
