Trip to Glen Lyon Coffee Roasters

Today, four Day Service participants and two Community Store residents visited Glen Lyon Roastery in Aberfeldy. They met co-founder Jamie, learned about the coffee journey from plant to cup, toured the roastery, and enjoyed coffee in the cafe.

This trip was useful as we grind Glen Lyon coffee beans at the Community Store and deliver them to Corbenic's Houses and Workshops. We learnt that subtle tweaks in the coffee grind can improve the taste. The collaboration benefits Glen Lyon by reducing waste and Corbenic by providing a great deal on ethically sourced coffee beans.
